the gift of baking

2Coats; Equipping individuals to compassionately share their time, talents, and gifts as Christ cared for those in need.

I met Lois while we were doing some of our first outreach to the Sun Rise apartments here on the East side of town here in Grundy Center.  I forget what we were giving out that day, but I do remember Lois reaching out to us.

She said, "I don't know if I can get out and help you folks much, but if you ever need me to make a dessert, I can do that, I love to bake."  And she has.  For better than two years, when we have an event, a night of prayer, or just because, Lois has made us some sort of dessert.  From cherry pie to peach crumbler/cobbler (my favorite) she is "doin' the stuff" and changing lives.  She is sharing her gift and caring for others as Christ did.
